IP address processing
myIP reads the connection IP to process your request and return a page or API response. The displayed value describes the current connection.
This PHP implementation does not store IP addresses in a separate database. Web server, proxy or CDN access logs may still retain connection records according to the hosting configuration.
Location information
When GeoIP lookup is available, the home page shows an estimated country and city. This is approximate and does not identify an exact address or person. If lookup is unavailable, only the IP and protocol are shown.
Cookies and browser storage
myIP does not use login cookies. A language preference cookie may be stored when you choose a language; copy and menu actions run only on the current page.
Usage notes
A public IP can change with the network. Do not use an IP address alone to judge a person’s exact location or identity. Review the final policy against the deployed logging and proxy configuration.
