Clear standards for
privacy and service use.

1. Scope and core principles

This Privacy Policy and Terms of Use applies to the Korean, English and Japanese pages and the public IP lookup APIs at myip.aicodelab.co.kr.

myIP does not require an account or user profile. To return a public IP on screen or through an API response, the service must read that IP while processing the request. The core lookup feature does not store the displayed IP in a separate application database.

The sections below also explain language preferences, first-party analytics, approximate GeoIP lookup and information that may be processed when Google AdSense advertising is used.

2. Information processed and purposes

The following information may be processed to provide the service, protect it from abuse, diagnose failures and improve usability.

• IP lookup data: the public IP address, IPv4 or IPv6 format, request time and response format.
• Technical request data: information normally handled by web server, proxy and CDN logs, such as User-Agent, referrer, request path and status code.
• First-party analytics data: page path and title, referring host, browser language, screen and viewport width, device, browser and operating system categories, and random visitor and session identifiers.
• Preference data: the interface language selected by the user.

Browser-local address analysis and subnet calculation

Inputs and results for the IP address analyzer and IPv4 subnet calculator are processed in page memory only. The calculation features do not transmit input values to the server or store them in URLs, cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. Reloading resets them.

These two input-tool pages do not load advertising or visit-analytics scripts. Normal server access logs for the page visit and language preference cookies are separate. Opening an external technical reference is governed by that site policy.

3. First-party analytics

myIP sends page-view data to admin.aicodelab.co.kr in the same operating environment to understand service use and errors. The analytics script does not use an advertising cookie. It stores a random visitor identifier in localStorage and a random session identifier in sessionStorage. The server stores hashed forms of those identifiers together with fields needed for aggregated reporting.

The analytics request body does not add the public IP displayed on the home page as a separate field. Normal network metadata and access logs may still be processed when the analytics server receives a request.

When the browser enables Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC), the first-party analytics script does not send visit events. The current site analytics retention setting is 90 days, after which expired data is automatically removed.

4. Cookies, browser storage and Google AdSense

When a language is selected, the myip_lang cookie may be stored for up to one year. The first-party analytics visitor identifier may remain in localStorage until browser data is cleared, while the session identifier may remain in sessionStorage for the current browser session.

myIP uses Google AdSense advertising code. When ads are served, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar device storage to serve ads based on previous visits to this or other websites. Personalized or non-personalized ads may be served depending on consent and advertising settings.

Users can manage or opt out of personalized Google advertising through Ads Settings and may use an advertising industry choice tool to opt out of personalized advertising from some other vendors. This Privacy Policy page does not load AdSense or first-party analytics scripts that require consent.

5. Approximate GeoIP and external services

When the server can only see a private IP or internal router address, your browser contacts api64.ipify.org or api.ipify.org directly to determine its externally visible public IP. This exposes the browser connection IP to ipify; the request is configured without login cookies or a referrer. The server does not look up its own external IP as a substitute.

When the connection region is requested on the home page, the myIP server may send the resolved public IP to the IPWhois ipwho.is GeoIP service and receive a country- or city-level result. This does not use GPS or precise browser geolocation permission.

On the homepage, Google Maps loads automatically after valid GeoIP estimate coordinates for the public IP are resolved. The map URL does not contain the queried IP itself, and the referrer is omitted. Google may process network information for the map connection and its own cookies under its policies. The map does not load when coordinates are unavailable; separate advertising features may contact Google independently.

IP-based location can differ from the real location because of providers, VPNs, mobile networks or proxies. It must not be treated as an exact address or proof of identity. Information handled by an external service is also governed by that service policy.

6. Retention, deletion and safeguards

The core IP lookup feature does not store the displayed public IP in a separate application database. First-party analytics data is currently removed according to a 90-day retention setting. The language cookie and browser storage remain for the periods described above and can be deleted by the user.

Access logs generated by web servers, proxies, CDNs or security systems may be retained separately for service reliability, security response and legal obligations. They are deleted or rotated under operational settings when no longer needed for those purposes.

myIP uses reasonable safeguards such as encrypted transport, access restrictions, security headers and hashing of analytics identifiers. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.

7. User choices and privacy rights

Users can inspect, delete or block cookies and site storage in browser settings, although language preferences and some features may reset. Ad personalization can be changed through the Google Ads Settings link above, and first-party analytics can be declined with DNT or GPC.

Where applicable law provides these rights, a user may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection concerning personal information. Because myIP does not create user accounts, the ability to connect a requester to a random technical identifier may be limited.

8. Children

myIP is a general technical utility and is not directed to children who cannot consent to data processing under applicable law. If the operator learns that such information was knowingly collected, reasonable verification and deletion steps will be taken.

9. Service terms and disclaimer

The service and APIs are provided as available. Accuracy, completeness and uninterrupted availability of IP, protocol or location results are not guaranteed. Results must not be used as the sole basis for important security, legal or identity decisions.

The service may not be used for unlawful activity, infringement of rights, disruption, excessive automated requests or attempts to bypass controls. Requests may be limited, and features, APIs or policies may be changed or discontinued to maintain reliable operation.

10. Policy changes and contact

When data handling, advertising services or legal requirements change, this page and its last-updated date will be revised. Material changes will be highlighted on the site where reasonably possible.
